I enjoyed the throughness of this book and thought overall the author did a good job guiding us on our trip through Maui.

I enjoyed the throughness of this book and thought overall the author did a good job guiding us on our trip through Maui. However, there are some important things to mention.

I usually go for Frommer's over other travel books because the sections .

I usually go for Frommer's over other travel books because the sections are easy to navigate and offer strong opinions. This book broke both standards. The organization of each section was odd, which made for inefficient use of the book. This was a great tool for our first trip to Hawaii. The one thing it doesn't say is that you should not expect wide, white sandy beaches on the big island. It's really sharp, black lava rock - ouch.
