Dec 02, 2018 Emily Ross rated it it was amazing. This was a short and interesting book on Kilmainham Gaol. I knew about Kilmainham from general Irish history books, but it was really interesting to read about Kilmainham itself. I particularly liked the last page where the history of Kilmainham was regarded in a wider context against Irish history and general history.

Today we are sharing the fascinating story of John Bradley. An article in the 'Kildare Observer' of 23 March, 1893 describes how John, a young man aged 25, was arrested and imprisoned in Kilmainham Gaol for 14 days on charges of vagrancy. He was born in Naas but grew up in New Row, just off Francis St. in the Liberties where he attended the Christian Brother's school for boys.
