Sarah Dunant (born 8 August 1950) is a British novelist, journalist, broadcaster, and critic. She is married with two daughters, and lives in London and Florence. Dunant was born in 1950 and raised in London. She is the daughter of David Dunant, a former Welsh airline steward who later became manager of British Airways, and his French wife Estelle, who grew up in Bangalore, India.

Sarah Dunant is a writer, broadcaster and critic. Dunant was born in London. She teaches creative writing at The Faber Academy in London and biennially at Washington University in St. Louis in its Renaissance studies course.
