By Grace Isabel Colbron and Augusta Groner. Introduction to joe muller. Joseph Muller, Secret Service detective of the Imperial Austrian police,is one of the great experts in his profession.

By Grace Isabel Colbron and Augusta Groner. In personality he differsgreatly from other famous detectives. He has neither the impressiveauthority of Sherlock Holmes, nor the keen brilliancy of Monsieur Lecoq. Muller is a small, slight, plain-looking man, of indefinite age, and ofmuch humbleness of mien.

Auguste Groner (1850-1929) co-authored Grace Isobel Colborn (1869-1948) in writing a series of detective stories. The main character in the series was detective Joe Miller. They also collaborated in writing The Lady in Blue in 1922. Other works by Groner are: The Man with the Black Cord (1911) and Mene Tekel (1912). They were subsequently translated from German into Frau. While not has detail oriented as Doyle, Groner does a good job with the details of the case drwawing the reader in and applying twists and turns keeping the story intresting and worth reading. I look forward to following Muller in more cases.

The case of the pocket diary found in the snow

The case of the pocket diary found in the snow. Chapter I. The discovery in the snow. A quiet winter evening had sunk down upon the great city. It was Ludwig Amster, one of the working-men in the factory, starting on his homeward way. It was not a pleasant road, this street along the edge of the city. The town showed itself from its most disagreeable side here, with malodorous factories, rickety tenements, untidy open stretches and dumping.
