This is a truly insightful book and dovetails well with the books written by Michail Newton, Ph.D., i.e. Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls. This book broadens the understanding of the continuing journey of souls as they reincarnate and discarnate. It gives us all insight, hope, and guidelines on our own journey here on Earth along with knowledge on what to expect at the end of this life and why souls choose to incarnate in a particular body that helps them to learn, grow, and to become wiser as they progress. I believe that the most important lessons we learn from these books is why we are here, what our life means in terms of the growth of the soul, and what we can do to improve not only our life here but the progression of our soul's journey. The other important lesson is that when a soul returns to "Heaven" there is infinite love, forgiveness, and patience given so each soul may grow to its full potential.

I would recommend that those who read these books begin with Journey of Souls and then read both of the books, Destiny of Souls and Testimony of Light in turn.

Others have written so eloquently about the sense of wonderment and peace this book brings that I won't repeat their helpful summaries. I would like to add that there is much subtle humor between the lines as well - in the several forewords that describe Frances Banks' strong personality and impression on those who knew her; in some of Frances' self-descriptions which mirror my own habits of thought and spiritual weaknesses; and in her delicious description of the disappointment experienced by those who cross over into the afterlife expecting a heaven of passive delight - "a super-welfare state where they will dream away Eternity" - only to discover that they have much self-appraisal and work ahead (with helpers and teachers at hand).
In the realm that Frances describes, negative and unkind thoughts are visible and audible - nothing can be hidden. I laughed at her description of how anger, irritation and depression can be felt and sometimes "heard" by companion entities as a low waspish buzzing that prompts them to avoid the afflicted spirit until the negativity has passed. The masks we assume in this earthly world don't prepare us well for the realms of the afterlife in which we will appear as we truly are, in thought and spirit.

This was a life changing book for me, and I've read so many books! The message is so beautifully written, it gives me hope that I'm on the right track here on earth, to create the life I dream of here and now, AND into eternity. We are meant to live love ALL the time, and what we THINK matters for ourselves and others. I found the analogy of a radio being tuned into certain stations only allows a listener to hear the message pertaining to that particular station, so we must "tune in" to those messages that are always available to us....of love, peace, wisdom, messages that will empower us to live more fulfilling lives, not focus on the lower vibrations the majority of people focus on.

This is a well-written account of two women who were friends with a deep spiritual connection and how that connection deepened after one died and communicated with the other. It is in two parts, the first of which is the account of their relationship while both were in human form and the second comprises the communication after the death of the one. It is eye-opening and believable in both parts... a genuine revelation of our eternal nature and a good, quick read that complements other accounts of the reality that lies beyond death.

My husband and I read this out loud to each other. A great way for couples to spend time, by the way. Anyway, the story is astounding. We've read many books on spirituality, but this one has a couple elements that we have not encountered and a tremendous message from the other side. You will need to read it at least twice to catch it all. Based on all our other readings, over 35 books, we have no trouble believing every word, but there was one part very disturbing and unexpected, but fits what we've learned and makes sense to me now. Good luck on your spiritual journey. We are all connected by love.

This book was first published in 1969, so it was a bit surprising to find that it is still in print. About 3 weeks after the death of Francis Banks, her close friend and fellow meditation partner, Helen Greaves began getting messages from Francis describing her experiences from the other side of the veil. The two women had spent countless hours together in meditation and discussion about Christian concepts. When Helen felt the "presence" of her friend, she had a strong urge to get a pen and paper and record the messages she gleaned from Francis. Apparently the book has been only lightly edited from the original channelled material.
The messages lasted for approximately 1 year, and makes for fascinating reading. Francis acknowledges the differences between Anglican dogma and her impression of the afterlife. The one hurdle that she thinks the Christian reader may struggle with is her acknowledgement of reincarnation, which was actually in early Catholic church writings, but not widely accepted today.
I would encourage anyone who has read Michael Newton's books of the afterlife to read "Testimony of Light". I found the book to be incredibly descriptive and compelling, both in the descriptions of soul growth and in her re-interpretations of New Testament beliefs. Much food for thought in this lovely book.

I am very new to this subject and this book was recommended to me by an astrologer. I found the premise of the book fascinating and the concept of moving from one plane to another as we grow closer to God comforting. The idea that we continue to work toward a fuller relationship with God makes sense to me, rather than the idea that after we die, all there is to do is fly around heaven all day. The book is hard to read because it refers to concepts that I didn't comprehend. The book boils down to the idea that death is not an ending, but a transition to a different plane in your understanding of your soul and of God. I'm glad I read it. I hope to find other material than can explain some of the concepts to me in a more basic way.
