I love this series! In Darklight secrets are revealed, more mystery is added and things aren't how they seem.

All the usual suspects make their appearance. Such as Kelly's parents Auberon and Mabh, Sonny, Tyff, Puck and even the Janues Guard. We get to learn a little more about the Fennerys Wolf and new characters come into play.

There is more interaction between Mabh and Kelley which is really interesting. I got to see a different side to Mabh's personality this time as well as Kelley's.

Sonny and Kelley, I love them as a couple and I got to see that dynamic a little more in this book. I love the interactions between them. However the ending to Darklight has shattered my heart and I must read book 3 "Tempestuous" and pray that things are discovered, mysteries revealed, enemies defeated and a happy ending. Most of all I want that happy ending.

I am really looking forward to book 3. This is a great series that should be read by everyone especially if you love stories about fairie.

I loved Wondrous Strange when I read it earlier in the year. So I have been looking very forward to reading Darklight. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some! Darklight starts off about 6 months after the end of the first book and it starts off with a bang. There is never a moment without suspense and action.

Livingston's writing is superb. I'm in love with it! It flows so smoothly that you forget you are reading a book. I also love that you don't just get the story for Kelley's point of view but also from Sonny's. Which was especially nice in this books since they are in two different realms for most of it.

I love the Faeries in this series. They are perfect! Not overly mean. Not sugar sweet. They are cunning and sly and mischievous. I was thrilled with all the characters in this book. None of them lost their luster from the first book. There was a lot of development with the characters. And some old characters being shifted to new interesting roles.

There was of course a huge twist! I didn't see it coming at all! And it definitely makes me hungry for the next installment. Overall this is one of the best YA series out there. Lesley's writing is excellent. If you haven't read them yet, what are you waiting for?

The second in the Wondrous Strange series leaves you with more questions at the story's conclusion. It begins with Kelley in New York rehearsing 'Romeo & Juliet' & Sonny in the Otherworld hunting & killing the last of the Wild Hunt. But, as close to normal as things may seem, the repercussions from Samhain eve are just starting to be felt. Kelley is attacked by a leprechaun trying to recover the stolen clover charm that she's worn since she was a baby. We meet Gwynn Ap Nudd, the Vernal King & Titania, the Summer Queen. Auberon is ailing from a mysterious condition, Mabh is, well, Mabh. Fragments of secrets are revealed, but there isn't enough information given for anyone, even the reader, to truly discern what is happening. We learn that someone is plotting to take control of a lot of power, power that is somehow tied to Kelley & to Sonny. That someone, and the truth behind the attacks, is yet to be revealed...

Having developed the characters & plot line in the first story, Livingston sends us on a bit of an adventure in this story. We travel to Otherworld with both Kelley and Sonny, and we learn a bit more of the history of the Fae Race. There are more questions than answers in this book, making me want to read the third series as soon as it's released :)

This is the sequel to Wondrous Strange. I would not recommend reading this one until you have finished that one because it depends on the first book too much. It is a well written story that does not drag and has plenty of action and romance to keep the readers attention. Livingston did much research into faerie mythology and New York city and it shows. The story is told from the perspective of both the mail characters Kelly and Sonny in alternating chapters.

I have yet to read the third book in this series, but I am sure that I will be reading it eventually. If you like stories about the fae, or an interest in it, this series is definitely worth the read.

Three words; Sonny is MINE! or impressive, exciting & captivating

I was even more impressed with Darklight than it's predecessor Wondrous Strange. Livingston was able to weave an unpredictable and entertaining plot, with all the characters that I had grown to love in Wondrous Strange. Not to mention characters that were re-introduced like... Fennrys. Where did this delicious dish come from! I'll have seconds please!

I loved the elements of the Otherworld, Livingston has a beautiful writing style that makes you feel like you are there with the character, just awesomely captivating descriptions without being overly detailed.

This is definitely a series that you will want to read in order. There are a lot of references to the previous novel and there are some character histories that wouldn't be clear had you not read the first novel. As with most novels in the middle of a series there are some questions left unanswered but there are some huge revelations as well.

I love Livingston's story telling ability. There is something in the way that she tells a story that is addicting. Awesome fae series. I can't wait to read the next novel!
