A ten year gap in their lives separated Lily and Matt. She had proposed to him when she was twelve and he nineteen. Finally the letter came that she was to join him in marriage. However, he wasn't the one that wrote the letter......(must read)

Shotgun Groom is Sandra Chastain at her best.
Witty dialogue and warm, likeable characters are what Ms. Chastain does best, and this book excels at both. You'll laugh and cry, but mostly, you'll feel really good when you get done reading.

The idea of this book is excellent.But I quit reading it half way through because I got some confusing errors.Like when they were coming back from the indian reservation when Lily got sick. Didn't they come in a wagon? So why did they leave on horseback? Even after Matt asked Kitty to get the wagon. I know it's not a big deal to the story.But I wish it was more accurate. Besides there was dialogue that would include two people and then all of a sudden some other character will be there when they weren't supposed to be in the first place. So the idea of the story was great but there needs to be errors corrected.
