The biggest thing I gleaned from this book is to know that in all our mother/daughter struggles is that there are two sides to every disagreement and to try to understand my daughter has thoughts and feelings on things too. I still plan to put my foot down on several issues but I will try to remember to allow her to voice an opinion as long as she can use respectful words on the matter.
