Book by David W. Johnson, Roger T. Johnson, Edythe Johnson Holubec. This book is an overview of the techniques that might be used in the co-operative classroom. It also deals with the philosophy behind the theory. This is a good academic book, plenty citations, etc, if you wanted to use quotations or other refernces. It seems to be mainly aimed at elementary school but there are some ideas for high school too, that you could modify. I have taken some inservice on this topic, and to be honest, these were more helpful to me as teacher at the "coalface", so to speak.
