Allison Goodman has been a practicing designer for twenty years in the fields of print, information and environment and digital design. This book offers a rather general overview of graphic design, and does that job pretty well. Most design education is concerned with combining and sometimes inventing bits of content. This study focuses on the effectiveness of using graphic design guideline mobile application among users for designing visual artwork. It concerns relationships of forms and it almost always overlooks the critically important part of the design that goes unnoticed: the background spaces and shapes. This is a reflection of believing what IS is more important that what ISN’T. But emptiness, when treated as a full partner in design, becomes dynamic.
