This was a gift to my Mother. She had owned this book for years but a friend had recently had a stroke and she gave him her copy to give him encouragement by drawing. She loves this book and I found it to replace the copy she had given to her friend. She is extremely happy to have it once again (Mother is in her eighties).

This is a great book for beginners. It has all the basics without being overwhelming. Easy to follow steps.

This book provides step-by-step directions with build-upon drawings. I discovered this book at my local library, and preferred it over several others I had viewed. It is being used for sixth grade homeschoolers who desired to add a fine art to their course of study.

For someone who doesn't know anything about drawing, I was interested in getting this book to receive some tips. It is a beautifully illustrated book with many helpful ideas. The beginning of the book gives basic drawing instruction. The illustrations themselves were informative and easy to follow.

Theres no doubt that you get your moneys worth with this item. Many aspiring artists are willing to pay any price to get that head start, so it makes sense that you can get a good, basic, foundation established for less than 20 dollars. I personally felt I got my moneys worth in the first section of the book. It goes over some exercises that will definitely come in handy such as shading, and building form. You can pretty much do your own thing from there, and it has alot of how to's on other peoples work that made it in.

However, it could go into a little more depth. The first things they have you draw (A chick and a dog) are thumbnail size, there arent any pointers/explanations about properly building a form with the shapes you make. You just have to play around until you can see for yourself, thats no big deal but dont be expecting a full package with this book. If you already have the basics down, dont bother with this book.

White gold

This book contains lengthy explanations, which would be good for someone who is just finding their passion in artwork. It contains plenty of images, and step-by-step instructions on how to draw them.
