In my point of view, that list is short and the choice of verbs is left unexplained. Why are the verbs "mollycoddle" or "obnubilate" power verbs?
The appropriate use of power verbs is the key. That brings up the caution: It would be very easy to misuse this book in the way that many kids overuse a thesaurus when they first discover it. It would be easy to sift through this book and select obscure words to replace every "ordinary" verb in a presentation.
