Had I read it 20 years back, probably, I would have made it my bible. Now, sadly, it is in my unfinished, not-recommended, balderdash shelf. McCormack gives a lot of great examples from his own life which make this a very interesting read.

Reading people Fundamentals of reading people: Listen to what’s being said and how it is being said. Observe aggressively. Talk less and you will automatically learn more. I’m surprised by how few people have read What they don’t teach you at Harvard Business School. This is an absolute gem that every entrepreneur and executive needs to read. It was written by Mark McCormak in 1986. It’s difficult to find well-informed people on this topic yet you sound like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks for this post. I definitely agree with what you are saying.

Business school is the only school that you do nothing during your two years that you will do when you get a jo. ou don’t hire anybody, you don’t fire anybody. You don’t raise money, you don’t spend money. I ended up landing one of the globally coveted non-paying internships for McCormack’s sports agency outfit one summer and eventually formed a relationship with the great businessman.
