Caveat: I got this to use as research for a novel where the main character runs an ice-cream business, so I needed details and information specific to ice cream, or even to starting a food business.

This book a generic how-to-start-a-business book. There is nothing specific to ice cream or to food businesses. It's simply a search and replace situation where the authors took the same content and replaced "bookstore" with "ice cream" and came up with 40 different titles with the same content.

In the licensing section it tells you to find out what the local laws are for an ice cream business. Not what kind of laws food businesses generally deal with. Nothing about health issues or the like, which are crucial to a food business.

Nothing about recipes, or about different kinds of ice cream. Every single piece of advice is generic, or tells you to research the information about ice cream. I wanted a book to give me the information, not tell me to research it.

That's fine if you know nothing about starting a business. The information is good at a generic level, but if you really want specifics about food and ice cream businesses, save your money.

I'd give it zero stars for ice cream information. Two stars for business start up information, with an average of one star.

This publisher produces many of these "how to start and manage ..." titles and everyone I've seen (60+) is EXACTLY the same. You buy one and you've bought them all. All the publisher is doing is changing the name of one venture say, "ice cream business" to another venture, "pet grooming". Other than that, the content is exactly the same. There is nothing specific about this information it's not written to tailor each different venture, it's merely the same book with different titles. I do not recommend any of these titles.

I wasted my money on this book. This company puts out several guides. It's obvious they change a few words and give it a new title on different businesses. Example is Coffee Shop changed to Ice Cream Shop. Very generic, useless information. I would even go as far as to say it was a rip off.

I bought this book as a gift for my brother. I had it shipped to him so did not see the book myself. However he is very happy with it.
