Sports Illustrated is the largest weekly American sports magazine owned by media conglomerate Time Warner. It was the first magazine with circulation over one million to win the National Magazine Award for General Excellence twice.

In 1971, Time Inc (owner of Sports Illustrated magazine) published their first baseball game, titled Sports Illustrated Major League Baseball. It included 20 players on each at-that-time current (1970 season) baseball team, presented on tri-fold color charts. For 1972, they switched to teams of 25 players each, on double-sided color charts without folds.

Sports Illustrated (SI) is an American sports magazine owned by Authentic Brands Group, and was first published in August 1954. It is also known for its annual swimsuit issue, which has been published since 1964, and has spawned other complementary media works and products.
