Aurand Harris (1916–1996) was an American playwright who wrote 36 plays for children, estimated at the time of his death in 1996 to have been performed on over 30,000 occasions. He originated in Jamesport, Missouri and achieved a master's degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he worked with Winifred Ward, a pioneer in children's theatre.
