This book is not really a signal processing book but I am mentioning it because of its deep and rich treatment of estimation in general is enlightening. Here are some books which I have not read cover to cover but browsed through which impressed me: a) Anything by Harry Van Trees. The authority on Detection & Estimation. b) Statistical and Adaptive Signal Processing by Manolakis & Ingle. I had Ingle as a professor and he's excellent (and a bit rigorous in a good way). c) Statistical Digital Signal Processing by Monson.

The Only DSP Book 100% Focused on Step-by-Step Design and Implementation of Real Devices and Systems in Hardware and Software Practical Applications in Digital Signal Processing is the first DSP title to address the area that even the excellent engineering textbooks of today tend to omit. This book fills a large portion of that omission by addressing circuits and system applications that most design engineers encounter in the modern signal processing industry.

Discrete-time signal processing is for sampled signals, defined only at discrete points in time, and as such are quantized in time, but not in magnitude. Analog discrete-time signal processing is a technology based on electronic devices such as sample and hold circuits, analog time-division multiplexers, analog delay lines and analog feedback shift registers.
