Note here Uranus is called Herschell. In passing I also see that the title of the medal "The Solar System" is in the same Gothic/Olde English letter-face - more than coincidence perhaps?. The medal shows the trajectory of two comets, but I don't think there is any special commemorative significance to these. These could perhaps represent the Great Comet of 1811 and the Halley's Comet of 1837 - but equally they could be the Great Comet of 1680 and Halley's.
