Robert Ross has written a number of different comedy books including two on the Carry On movies. It's a good script naturally leaning more to the earlier ones than the perhaps more popular Talbot Rothwell films.

What A Carry On' exhibition and presented two accompanying lectures at the National Film Theatre. A hospital may face closure and the matron (earmarked for Joan Simms) battles to save it by hunting out the mole the regional board has sent in and an efficiency drive. it's actually a sequel to carry on Nurse (Hudis' favourite of his earlier ones).

But, to their own amazement, they were wrong. Delving through the original shooting scripts they found countless deleted scenes and an entire unfilmed script.
