Ancient European Swords . Been working on it in my head for longer than that, studying books, papers, articles, and visiting museums. The blade is a 4 bar pattern weld, three bars twisted in opposing directions to create something of a herringbone effect, like many of the originals from this period. The edge bar is a high density pattern of over 500 layers.
