I recently finished Thomas Fleming's book, The Perils of Peace. In our concentrated and abbreviated high school American history lessons we normally learn of Cornwallis' defeat as the end of the war and skip directly to Treaty of Paris signaling the final peace.

This book is an easy read, and a very useful expansion of the History of America. The Perils of Peace: America8217;s Struggle for Survival After Yorktown. I like the way that it was organized and I plan to get a hard copy for my permanent library. It helps to remember that, "If you have to be in a Revolution, try to avoid being on the loosing side.
