He is best known for his stories about Percy the Park Keeper. Nick has also presented children’s stories on television, created a cartoon strip for The Sunday Express Magazine and worked for major graphic design consultancies. He has two grown-up children, and lives with his wife in Suffolk.

Mick Inkpen (born 1952) is an English author and illustrator of children's books, best known for his creations Kipper the Dog and Wibbly Pig. Inkpen was born in Romford, Essex, England in 1952. Inkpen was born in Romford, Essex, England in 1952, and educated at Royal Liberty School in Gidea Park. He is a friend of Nick Butterworth, who also grew up in Romford, and they collaborated on the 1990 "Wonderful Earth".

Interesting now to see the names: Mick Inkpen, Leon Baxter, Helen Oxenbury, Quentin Blake, Michael Foreman, John Burningham, Roy Gerrard, Nicola Bayley, Jill Barklem and Antony Brown. And me – proud to be in such company e copies of the cards (apart from mine), although I do have a book produced by Collins (before they were Harper Collins) that was also in aid of Childline. On the 7th November, we were lucky enough to have Nick Butterworth join us for the day at R A Butler Academy. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by the children, parents. and the teachers! Nick started the day with an assembly for KS2.
