I wanted a book to read to my toddler that explains who Jesus is in very concise and easy to understand language and this is perfect! The story is short enough that it keeps her attention, but long enough so that she learns something from it. The author does a great job of explaining that Jesus is God's Son who died for our sins, He performed miracles, that He is the reason we celebrate Christmas and Easter, and that we can pray and ask Him to help us in good times and bad. I felt the author did a great job of summarizing Jesus' life and death, without making it seem scary.

The illustrations are beautiful, colorful, and detailed. I highly recommend this book! I also love Patricia Pingry's "The Story of Easter," which summarizes the Easter story in the same way she summarizes Jesus here.

for some reason, the general description did not show when i bought this product. these reviews are for something else. these are a set of a few blank note cards with envelopes. there are no Bible stories.
