I was initially put off by this unexpected approach, but quickly understood that this enabled a level of humor and ‘color’ in what could otherwise have been a mere dry recital of facts.

The Tyrannosaurus rex specimen informally referred to as Trix was discovered in the Hell Creek Formation, 50 kilometres south of Jordan, Montana in May 2013 by Blaine Lunstad and his wife Michele Lunstad and excavated later in August. Given that as of 2018 there have been 50 Tyrannosaurus specimens discovered more than 10 percent complete since 1902 it’s highly likely that in the future larger and more complete specimens will be discovered however for the time being FMNH PR 2081 remains the largest Tyrannosaurus rex specimen known.

Compared to other dinosaur books this book is about average, while the digital version contains little detail and is boring to read.
