I've been using this for my husband's lower back problems. It appears to really be helping. Strongly recommend a sweet almond oil to go with it, as pressing really hard is difficult with just plain lotion. I've recommended it to friends.

What a great idea this book was! These are simple exercises for two people to do together. Back pain is ubiquitous in our country and many people, especially office workers, will find this information very valuable.

This is a great book. The instructions are simple, the illustrations are clear, and Dr. Kirschner has genuine insight into pain and how it affects couples. I can't wait for the DVD.

I received this book as a present and highly recommend it.

I have a desk job and am prone to headaches and upper back pain. This book addresses how such pain can impact both members of a couple and empowers the person in the relationship who is not in pain to help his or her partner.

The healing techniques described in Dr. Kirschner's book were easy for my husband to learn and follow. The book is written in a really friendly and accessible style. In addition to addressing how to manage the most common complaints, it also includes very practical suggestions about how to avoid many of these aches in the first place. The photos are both cheerful and helpful. A great reference that I will return to again and again.

Extremely well written, illustrated manual demonstrating many different and easy to use techniques that couples can use to alleviate pain and back discomfort. Very clear diagrams show how to position, move and treat your significant others' pain in a distinct no-nonsense manner. Techniques are varied from the neck to the lower back, and I must admit are as fun to recieve as they are to give. So far have had excellent results with my second wife who has chronic mid back pain. A great read to learn some new tricks for old problems!

I have been a chronic back and neck pain sufferer for years. Old sports injuries, car/motorcycle accidents, and major amounts of stress all contributed to a constant and predictable level of pain in my life.

When I had money I regularly saw massage therapists, accupuncturists and the like and when I did not I treated my pain with ibuprofen or simply resigned myself to living with it.

Dr. Kirschner's book has been a refreshing tool in helping me tackle a persistent and frustrating condition. My wife has applied several of the techniques to me with positive results (including ones that have helped relieve some of the pain and pressure associated with my chronic sinusaitis). While I have a ways to go, the simple fact that I am no longer popping Advils like Pez candy is a major improvement in my day to day activities. I have also realized how much I had resigned myself to living with a certain level of pain and how that alone has curtailed my activity and ability to enjoy the simple things.

I would love to see these techniques on video. While the book is a great resource seeing these techniques "live" would help my wife and I really understand their application.

I don't do well with problems that don't have solutions, so my husband's chronic sinus headaches were making me insane. I tried the technique for sinuses on him, and I now use this on him regularly. It really helps, and it's great to be able to do something rather than just be annoyed that he's sick.

I sit at the computer a lot, so I like to have him work on my shoulders, and we both like the techniques for the lower back.

Great book, fun to read. Worth the price just for the Ricky Martin-lookalike story.
