This book captivated me- the realness and vulnerability of the characters was perhaps the most interesting for m. This is the first book that i have ready by Fiona O'Brien, due to I enjoy Cathy Kelly's novels and she recommends Fiona books.

This book captivated me- the realness and vulnerability of the characters was perhaps the most interesting for me. The plot lost its way a little towards the end, but I still found it was a story I could not put down. I was actually sad to say "goodbye" to the characters when it ended. I found that I was so engrossed with this book I could not put it down. The story involves round a family who live in Ireland called Armstrongs. After so many years of Carrie's husband Rob cheating ways will Carrie finally have the courage to end her marriage.

The right mix of heartfelt emotion and upbeat humour (Image). This book was a page turner from the 1st word. You were drawn in by the wonderful characters. Well written plenty of twists and turns. Fabulous holiday read. A really good story without the need to delve into sexual gymnastics at every chance. Enjoyed the characters and storylines. I will be reading more of her books. A good relaxing story. Wonderful to have a good story that I can recommend to all my friends without embarrassment. Still an adult read well done Fiona.
