The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is a powerful and sometimes violent novel of expectation. Anne Bronte was born at Thornton, Yorkshire, on January 17, 1820. She was the sixth and youngest child of Reverend Patrick Bronte, an Irishman by birth, and Maria Branwell Bronte, who was from a prosperous Cornish family. Following her mother's death in 1821, Anne and four sisters and one brother were raised by an aunt, Elizabeth Branwell. The two eldest daughters, Maris and Elizabeth, died in 1825 from tuberculosis contracted at the religious boarding school to which they had been sent.

Both books are wonderful.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is the second and final novel by English author Anne Bronte, published in 1848 under the pseudonym Acton Bell. Probably the most shocking of the Bronte’s novels, this novel had an instant phenomenal success but after Anne’s death her sister Charlotte prevented its re-publication. A mysterious young widow arrives at Wildfell Hall, an Elizabethan mansion which has been empty for many years, with her young son and servant.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is considered to be an early Feminist work, and although I can see it in. .Also, this book wasn't that long; about 150 pages. I like Anne Bronte's works, but I just don't need to say very much about them.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is considered to be an early Feminist work, and although I can see it in that way, my personal opinion is that it wasn't written with that purpose. Anyway, it's about a girl who struggles with her abusive husband, and her attempts to break free from him. I enjoyed it, but it is a longer book than the average novel. I'm sorry I don't have much to say. I hope that was, if not enjoyable, then at least informative. I will keep the timeline for the present, since you guys seem to like it. 19 . 1590-1592- The Taming of the Shrew.
