A Long Fatal Love Chase has, at it’s heart, the question of What if the heroine didn’t find out about the mad . There’s an excellent biography called Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women by Harriet Reisen, and I can’t recommend it highly enough

A Long Fatal Love Chase has, at it’s heart, the question of What if the heroine didn’t find out about the mad wife in the attic? Assuming these theories are true, this is one of those recursive fanfic loops that have existed from time immemorial, so don’t let anyone tell you that because it’s fanfic doesn’t make it not worthy of attention. There’s an excellent biography called Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind Little Women by Harriet Reisen, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It depicts how LMA was often the sole breadwinner in her large family, and how she wrote to keep the boat afloat, which I found inspiring.
