Irving Wallace (March 19, 1916 – June 29, 1990) was an American best-selling author and screenwriter. Wallace was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Bessie Liss and Alexander Wallace (an Americanized version of the original family name of Wallechinsky). The family was Jewish and originally from Russia. Wallace was named after his maternal grandfather, a bookkeeper and Talmudic scholar of Narewka.

Great Book. I had read this before but it still grabs you. Keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. There are some characters, you would like to smack across the face for their attitude but that is what makes this a great story. According to a journal found that was fritten but Saint Bernadette, the Virgin Mary is to return to Lourdes during a particular 8 days and someone will be granted a mircle. All believers and non believers flock to Lourdes to see this great event. Some with good intentions and some with evil. Like I said a good book

This outstanding novel had me "in the dark" until the very end. I couldn't figure out how Mr. Wallace was going to end it. A very outstanding end. However, as much as I enjoyed reading this book, I was a little depressed that it did end. I am reading more of Irving Wallace's works and I have high hopes that they will be as good as "The Miracle".

Unfortunately I cannot give a good feedback to this book. I was surprised about the great reviews I read before that animated me to buy it. All story was very easy to predict, all was to perfect, to easy, to smooth. Written in a very boring language, each thought was repeated like 3 times just in another way. I was disappointed.

Read.this long ago. When I read Wallace I kn9w the characters are fictional but I still think they are real perfect blend of fiction and fact well researched but with wonderful story telling
