Outstanding and particular attractive to school teachers and kind people everywhere. The story is real. a big city lawyer kept seeing this child at a stop on her walk to her corporate work. She started making sandwiches to give him when she walked by as he attempted panhandling for $ for food. At some point their regular encounter became more personal. He wouldn't take money because his mom was an addict with quite a few children. Food was scarce. (They were living in an apartment with 1 bread winner-Their mother)

The relationship between the unmarried career woman and the little boy who needed someone to inspire him.
She willingly met his mother whose concerns were never the real truth of her addicted body. His siblings learned to deal, etc. . . Eventually, she invited him to her house and he saw life as he wished his could be. Usually there encounters were a meal away from home for both. Such an inspiring story.

A Thread So Thin, the third book in the Cobbled Court series, by Marie Bostwick is delightful as the first two were. The author has an understanding of the American work ethic and of the values that have been a part of making this country who its people are. Liza, one of the characters of the book, has grown and changed from the first book to this one from a rebellious adolescent to a mature young woman because of her relationship with the other characters who live the American work ethic and good values so naturally. There are also other characters who have become solid citizens because of the caring people who have accepted them and given them a chance to overcome problems in their lives. I appreciate Marie Bostwick so much and am so grateful that I found her books. I now own every book that she has written.

TheSuspect

The third book in the Cobbled Court series revolves primarily around Lisa. She is shocked when a fancy night out leads to a proposal. While she initially turns down Garrett, she does give in and withdraws into herself. While Evelyn is worried about them being to young, she doesn't say anything about it after Lisa hears her initial dismay. Also out of character is Abigail's way over the top response to create the wedding of the century and her bullying ways.Also worrying Lisa is the opportunity to work at a museum in Chicago which she keeps secret. Evelyn is contending with a continued proposal of her own. The out of character behavior was grating through a good portion of the book, although the author was able to turn things around by the end where each character gets back to a more normal state with many changes in their lives.

I can't seem to get enough of these heartwarming stories. They hit real life problems without being to mushy or to sweet. You can pick a favorite but I find that very hard. Everyone is so special that you find your pushing for the correct door to open and make everyone's problems go away. All is handled beautifully but gets into some real life up's and downs. I am reading number 6 now, do hope the author is writing fast because I'm getting ready for the next six. I've never been one to get hooked on just one story line before but these books draw you in.

Love the characters, their relationships and altho not a quilter, am pretty much into the crafts/cozy genre.
As an almost 60, I like o read books with my age range characters. I like to see them with a full range of relationships and Bostwick does a great job with this. The relationship of the main characters and their families and each other are rich and wide ranging.
I read these books from the library and enjoyed them so much I decided to invest and add them to my in home library.

This is a good book. I wasn't sure when I started where the story was going. It has romance. Lots of romance. It is about family and the problems that you have. Enjoy

LOVE this series. Read it in order as characters grow as you continue into each book. So well written that the book can't be put down! It flows and is an easy read. There are some religious undertones in one part...but its not preachy.
The characters are so real you feel like you know them.
Keep writing Marie! I am ready to read more.
