Kym Lardner (born 1957 in Adelaide, South Australia), is an Australian children's author, illustrator, and storyteller. His first picture book The Sad Little Monster and the Jelly Bean Queen was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1981

Kym Lardner (born 1957 in Adelaide, South Australia), is an Australian children's author, illustrator, and storyteller. His first picture book The Sad Little Monster and the Jelly Bean Queen was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1981. After many years of live storytelling in Australian schools his work was recorded by the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). Kym continues to perform in schools, at children's festivals and has visited London twice.

One of the classic baseball stories, You Know Me Al, first published in 1914, tells the story of the fictional Jack Keefe, a bush league baseball player who earns a trip to the majors to pitch for the Chicago White Sox. Set in pre–World War I, the book is comprised of letters that Keefe sends to his old pal Al.
