Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr. (born October 10, 1974) is an American semi-retired, professional stock car racing driver. He is a team owner, author, and an analyst for NASCAR on NBC. Earnhardt competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro for his team JR Motorsports. He is the son of the late Dale Earnhardt S. who was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Dale Earnhardt, J. also known as Junior or Dale J. is a Piston Cup race car. He is a friend of the now-retired Piston Cup champion, Strip Weathers, as well as the racer's wife, Lynda Weathers. His racing performance has garnered him various rewards throughout his career, including the Piston Cup Rookie of the Year award in 2000, and four Piston Cup Most Popular Driver awards.
Dale Earnhardt was an American race car driver. As a stock car driver in the NASCAR series, he recorded seven Winston Cup championship victories and 76 career wins, including the 1998 Daytona 500. He was killed in a final-lap collision in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 18, 2001, in which he crashed into a retaining wall after making contact with Sterling Marlin and Ken Schrader.
