Goodness Gracious Green" immediately has Lois and the Item staff confronting some unexpected shocks. This is the second book in the series - and readers will want to read book one Gone to Green first as it does not stand alone. I have only read book one, so am not basing my opinion of this book on the series as the whole.

My two main complaints with this book are: 1. What is Lois' problem with becoming romantically involved with Chris? She does everything possible to avoid having this good-looking guy - who she admits she's crazy about - in her life.

Her second year in Green has scarcely been rung in, though, before Lois is wrung out. The former owners of the paper want it back. The mayor s dog bites her on the face. A series of fires threaten Lois. And while her friends blossom, Lois feels wilted. After working as a journalist twenty-five years, Judy Christie left the daily news business to open a consulting firm that works with individuals, businesses, and churches on strategies for meaningful life and work, including goal-setting, living fully, and balancing personal and professional lives. She's the author of the Green six-part fiction series. Judy and her husband live in northwest Louisiana. Books by Judy Christie.

Will Lois Barker put down roots in Green.

Goodness Gracious Green. The Green Series By: Judy Christie. Narrated by: Tara Ochs. This second book in the Gone To Green series picks up exactly where book one ended without missing a beat or changing the tone of the storytelling. Series: Gone to Green, Book 2. Length: 7 hrs and 38 mins. Categories: Fiction, Religious & Inspirational. Often, the first book in a series will be good but then the follow-up books lose steam. Thankfully that isn't the case here. Further, I think Ochs continues to do a good job with the narration, always a plus.

Will Lois Barker put down roots in Green . . . or will small-town life be too tough?
