The read along references are wonderful and definitions of archaic words marked with "T" is so handy. I love all the study guides & charts that help you grow in your faith. It is not the Classic edition but it still has all the great helps. It has a lay flat design when opened (see photo). It also has a bonded leather cover with sewn pages (see photo). I do wish the print was a little darker but hey, it is printed in China.
Unlike the classic version, they did not opt to update the anglicized spelling of some of the words in this updated version. See photo comparison of my dad's old classic version to this one.
Overall, I am pleased with this bible.

I had never heard of The Open Bible until I saw a review on YouTube & decided to try it out. I am loving this bible! The Cyclopedic Index is turning out to be invaluable as a study tool. The read along references are wonderful and definitions of archaic words marked with "T" is so handy. I love all the study guides & charts that help you grow in your faith. I've decided to have this bible rebound. The quality of the bonded leather is poor & the glued binding is disappointing. I only took off one star for that because the text & content is 10 stars. You will thoroughly enjoy this bible & it will quickly become one of your favorites. I also love The Thompson Chain Reference Bible but this bible is very easy to read.

This is my second Open Bible KJV that I have owned. I bought this one to replace my original that is now pretty worn out due to continual use for 6 years. I am an ordained minister and I have not found a better Bible anywhere. It is a complete Bible with the tools you need and without the commentary that you don't. I have found the layout and resources in the Bible to be extremely useful and beneficial for both my personal study and sermon prep alike. The main issue with any Bible that you should be concerned with is reliability. Frankly, most commentators today are not good and they often attempt at watering down the Word, or trying to make it more palatable to our culture. The Open Bible does not do this. When there is notes on the text they are important, accurate, and trustworthy. I have recommended this Bible to many people over the years and everyone I know who has one loves it.

This is by far my favorite study Bible I would recommend this one to every Christian library, absolutely everything you desire as a study aid is contained in this book.

ive been looking for this version of the open bible(kjv)in soft cover,leather for what seems like years.is very hard to find.i LOVE it.the leather could be a bit better quality,but i use a sturdy bible cover so isnt an issue for me.

I like the Open Bible. I always liked all the helps and the verse by verse references (not center references). I had an old one but it was well worn. This one is not as good quality with the bonded leather cover and the type is not as bold as my previous one. I knew the cover was not going to be real leather but thought the text would be the same. I do wish it was offered in different colors at reasonable price.

Great quality Bible!

A wonderful KJV Bible to read and study with! While I was hoping for middle-column references, the Open Bible does include some references by each paragraph. Overall, allows you to interact more with the text and less with study aids and commentary.
