Sue Edwards really does a great job of making you look deep into your own life and giving you the steps necessary to become the Godly person God designed you to be. I led this as an organized woman's bible study and it filled a full 1.5hrs of discussion each week.

Labeled as an inductive study, this study guide takes the reader through 50 pages in nine weeks. The introduction reveals that three different levels of study--based on commitment and knowledge are employed. All women should answer the core classes, but more motivated and knowledgeable women can answer the "digging deeper" and "summit" questions.
By way of comparison to other study guides, this one possesses considerably fewer pages and has a straightforward approach to asking questions. Rather than weaving commentary, Edwards simply asks the reader to read a passage and then either observe or interpret the text. Furthermore, she places the application questions at the very end of the study rather than mixing them within the other types of questions.
While this book focuses on the truths found in Proverbs, Edwards also borrows heavily from the rest of Scripture. Furthermore, she at times asks the readers to read excerpts from outside of the Bible. Ironically, more words are probably used in the leader's guide found in the back of the book than in each of the chapters. Edwards clearly wants her readers to be self-motivated and self-taught in their Bible Study efforts.
Overall, this study would be useful for women who have been doing Bible Study for years and feel confident in their own findings. A beginning student might feel insecure by the lack of direction found in each chapter. However, an intermediate student would enjoy the recommendation of passages that help unlock the truths found in the Proverbs.
