I ordered a copy for myself, based on the above review. I ordered this commentary at the same time that I bought "Believer's Bible Commentary" by Thomas Nelson Publishers. I prefer this one, even though it is older in publishing and dated aesthetics. Don't judge this book by its cover or value series for wish it was originally made for. I work at a Christian bookshop (non-profit); I've seen a lot of books; believe me, this is a good one.

4/25/2013 .. Update ... This is still one of my favorite Bible commentaries. This is the first commentary I now go to for confirmation, other scripture references, or just a little taste of what I will be getting into in my Bible Study time. I hope the publishers decide to reprint this great one-volume work once again.

I was very pleased that even though the book is used, it is in very good condition. I already loved this commentary from a previous copy, because it is a very conservative commentary on the Bible as the WORD of God.
