Lest We forget is a short book of poems filled with pride, emotion, loss, and memory that many should read. I highly recommend this to serious military aficionados, especially those fond of history. I have listened to stories about the pranks, what life was like, and how it felt to watch someone die, whether by enemy fire or because that person simply couldn't go on being a part of the atrocities. Lest We Forget does an excellent job of capturing many such stories in the brief but descriptive form of poetry. While many of the poems follow the same form of the four-line stanza and abba or abab rhyme scheme, each poem defines itself by subject matter or word selection.

People across the world are still tending to the graves where British soldiers fell

People across the world are still tending to the graves where British soldiers fell. Locals have never forgotten the British soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Mail found those living 100 miles inside the Arctic Circle honouring the dead. Which is why, as Britain prepares to honour its war dead this Remembrance Sunday, the Daily Mail has travelled from the Arctic Circle to the African jungle and a beleaguered Middle-Eastern battle zone to honour the far-flung resting-places of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. What we discovered is enough to warm the coldest heart.

Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget-lest we forget! Far-called our navies melt away; On dune and headland sinks the fire: Lo, all our pomp of yesterday Is one with Nineveh and Tyre!

Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget-lest we forget! Far-called our navies melt away; On dune and headland sinks the fire: Lo, all our pomp of yesterday Is one with Nineveh and Tyre! Judge of the Nations, spare us yet, Lest we forget-lest we forget! If, drunk with sight of power, we loose Wild tongues that have not Thee in awe, Such boastings as the Gentiles use, Or lesser breeds without the Law- Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget-lest we forget!

The best way for evil to triumph is for good men/women to do nothing. They fail to understand what being a Jew means. They fail to understand that the poison they spread in their words will ultimately destroy them too.
