Ralph Steadman - inspired illustrator of the visions of Hunter Thompson and creator of the wonderfully inventive Sigmund Freud - has an obsession called Leonardo da Vinci. Steadman traveled to Italy to stand in places where Leonardo stood.

Ralph Steadman's Obsession with Leonardo da Vinci led him to Italy - to stand in the places where genius stood and relive the sensations which preoccupied a mind that yearned to fly. The result is a work of sustained brilliance and a triumph of imagination. To help him get into his hero's mind Steadman undertook to recreate three things that Leonardo had done.
